Statement

My work is made up of elements that are born by chance and parts that are artificially created by the head, and neither is complete without it. While incorporating Japan's aesthetic sense, it is heavily influenced by Western contemporary art. I wonder if my artwork was made by blending various elements that I didn't even notice, and grinding the beans.

Growing up in my parents' house in Wakayama when I was a child, the sense of color I gained from the cherry blossoms, biwa trees, and patterns of my grandmother's kimono, as well as the culture, life, and people's way of thinking that I have lived and encountered in various places around the world since my 20s, all of these have influenced my creation.

While drifting between the two elements, sensibility and reason, Western and Eastern, conscious and unconscious, I try to create works that maintain a delicate balance while sometimes making people smile playfully and feel the warmth of people somewhere in their expression.
