I entered the second half of my life. My relationship with Japanese painting has also grown longer.
Drawing on my experience as a painter with many experiments and adventurous paintings, I focused on making Japanese paintings easy to understand for this exhibition.
Japanese painting materials are very difficult to handle, and realistically depicting the beauty of nature may seem simple, but it is not.
I believe that the simpler the work, the more difficult it is, to convey the beauty that mineral pigments possess to everyone as they are.
If the work I create through my eyes and hands stays in my heart, and if it makes me want to see it again, I am honored.
