■Introduction
Thank you for visiting my page from among the many writers and artists.
When I was 20 years old, my father suffered anaphylactic shock and was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, I was hospitalized for a few days, but as someone who grew up in a father-son household, this incident made me strongly aware of the separation from my immediate family that would come someday. Since then, I have continued to pray and hope that my father will live a long life. The reason why I started working on the theme of life and flow is because of prayer.
■Theme 1 About "Raw Flow"
The setting of my paintings is a tropical rainforest somewhere just below the equator. That is my utopia. I imagine this rainforest as a paradise without people and without any worries.
I depict the flowers, fruits, seeds, plants, and rain in this paradise "vibrating" and "falling". The "vibrating state" represents the life activities of flowers, fruits, seeds, and plants. "Falling" depicts the scene of flowers and plants withering, seeds falling, rain moistening the earth, seeds sprouting, and creating this paradise.
In this paradise, life circulates calmly every day. There are no people here, so there is no sorrow or fear of death. Also, the meaning of living or dying is not required. By depicting this paradise, I think about the meaning of people living and dying while gaining a lot of experience. As I did so, I gradually began to work on another theme. It is the next theme.
■Theme 2 About "Eternity" (about cracks and divisions of the screen)
I feel "eternal" when I face the old wall. And when I compare the new wall with the old wall, I feel that the old wall has a long future. I wanted to capture the impression of the "eternity" of the old wall in my work. This is because for me, who thinks about life and death through the theme of "life and death", "eternity" is a long-cherished wish.
(By the way, the crack in the picture screen is an image of a crack caused by the distortion of the wall caused by an earthquake, and the screen cut into a grid is an image of stacked blocks.) I thought that the partitioned picture of the painting in blocks would be closer to the image of the wall I have. I also want to make the screen as smooth as possible. This is because the wall I imagine is exposed to wind and rain, and gradually becomes uneven and smooth. On the other hand, I don't feel eternal unless the screen is smooth, so I scrape off a lot of paint from the screen. As a result, the details disappear and the figures become abstract. The same idea is applied to peeling off paint. )
With the above thoughts, I initially started cutting and breaking the screen. However, gradually I began to add different ideas to me. I digress a little, but for me, I think of painting as my alter ego and a mirror that reflects my mind. Based on this, I will return to the story. At one point, I felt that the crack in the screen was like my own (life experience) wound. When I looked at the screen, I began to think that the screen cut into a grid represented the wounds I suffered before I was born, that is, the wounds caused by the original sin of our humanity. I have come to think more than before about the meaning of people living and dying while gaining a lot of experience (by cutting and breaking the screen).
With the above thoughts, I am creating paintings.
If you can sympathize with my thoughts, I would appreciate it if you could support me.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for reading my clumsy explanation to the end.
