Tsukuda Kisho Web Solo Exhibition
"Crazy but lovely"

I often draw the heroines of old tales, kabuki, and historical stories using the "silk book coloring Japan painting technique".
I can't forget it even after being exposed to it for a long time, and I incorporate the "universality", "rawness" and "madness" of the stories that touch the hearts of modern people into my creations, just like "honkatori" in waka.
Reading books, coordinating appropriate costumes and hairstyles, and adding the tension, hesitation, and pleasure of drawing on silk that takes time and effort, and does not work to be corrected, three months to six months is a blissful time until the appearance of the princess you wanted to see appears. I would like many people to see the Showa girl manga degree that was the origin of the drawing, which contains 20-30% of the Kisho manga.

Tsukuda Yoshisho|Tsukuda Kisho
For a long time, I have been working in an intermediate position between illustrator and painter.
He studied advertising design and illustration at a vocational school, studied egg yolk tempera and silk book coloring Japan painting on his own, worked on Japan paintings as original drawings for greeting cards and calendars for overseas markets, and sold beautiful paintings drawn on silk books at exhibitions, and lived by drawing pictures in any form.
Now that I am old, I realize that I have little time left to paint, and I want to create as freely as possible, regardless of size or technique.

I am very fond of thinking about the heroines of Kabuki and historical stories, designing kimono patterns, fantasizing about scenes.
