Since I started publishing my paintings, what I have been painting has been consistently impermanent. Just as flowers fall and seasons change, everything that has a shape will eventually lose its shape. I want to depict a momentary sparkle in a world that is being lost, and how it is being lost.
The theme of this exhibition is "Finding Love in the World of Impermanence". I thought that beauty resides not only in the form but also in the actions that a person creates. I think that finding something you can love and being obsessed with it has the power to make even those who see it feel at ease.
In a social situation where there is corona, economic instability, and instability, choosing clothes, wearing makeup, eating delicious food, and loving your favorite people in order to live strongly every day. I drew it with the hope that I could collect kawaii and enjoy kawaii and care for everyday life to light up the hearts of people standing in front of the painting, like a utopia that emerges in the dark.
There is a lot of news that makes my heart ache, but I hope that you will be able to spend your time calmly while standing in front of the painting.
