Aichi Prefectural University of Arts was established in 1966 as the only public art university in the Tokai region and has been cultivating outstanding human resources in both the fields of art and music. In particular, the Faculty of Fine Arts provides education that covers a wide range of fields such as Japanese painting, oil painting, sculpture, design, and crafts, and is deeply connected to local culture and traditional crafts. Many of our graduates have gone on to become painters, designers, and educators both nationally and internationally, adding a unique touch to the contemporary art scene. In this special feature, we will introduce the creative breath of artists with ties to Aichi Prefectural University of Arts through their works.
