Ryu Kashiwamoto Taiyo Painting Exhibition

He is a rare painter these days. Stubborn, not pandering to the world, going his own way. A simple and strong Kyushu boy. Shochu goes well with it. After two waves, he gave up art college and studied under his teacher, Takumi Ogawa, at the Nagasaki Art Academy. In addition to his work, he is still teaching young people who want to become artists as a lecturer.
At the recommendation of Mr. Ogawa, he repeatedly exhibited at the Nikikai. In 1998, he won the honorable mention at the Niki Selection Exhibition. Around this time, he was hospitalized due to a congenital disease. After undergoing life-threatening surgery, he aimed for a life as a painter.
It seems to depict the body with a unique spatial expression and thick and heavy brushstrokes, and it is somewhat fragile and fragile. The air, time, and rhythm that overlapped in the screen are captured by a strange feeling as if they are going back and forth between this and the other. It is a solid work that is not misled by the subcultures that are popular these days.
His subsequent activities are well known, such as winning the Grand Prix at the 1st Japan Academy of Arts Grand Prix, winning the Nichido Art Foundation Award at the 38th Showa Kaisen, and winning the Excellence Award at the 22nd Sompo Japan Art Foundation Selection Encouragement Exhibition. In recent years, he has studied abroad in Italy, Macedonia, and other countries. He studied in the land of Michelangelo and da Vinci, and is currently working on works that have made a further leap forward.
