Statement

From my childhood to today, I have been deeply moved by my encounters with many famous paintings, and I have been particularly fascinated by the works of Claude Monet and Rinpa's Hoichi Sakai, and have been impressed by their artistry. I am struck by the timeless and outstanding expressiveness of flowers and natural life that existed hundreds of years ago, as if they were alive and well in the "here and now". He learned realistic techniques through his encounter with his teacher, a Western-style painter, and was led to the world of oil painting, where he learned the joy of freely painting his beloved flowers. On the other hand, I have always had a longing for the bold and delicate expressions of Japan painting, especially the Rinpa, and in order to express "what I like" "as I feel", I tried to use gold leaf and fuse traditional expressions of Japan painting with oil painting under the title of "Life, Sparkling Time". I hope to convey to you the purity, beauty, brilliance, cleanliness, and fragility of the life of plants and animals that we encounter at this moment.
