In 1988, at the age of 40, he moved to France with his wife and two children. He had a strong desire to experience the elite of art, and, despite his anxiety, made a decision filled with hope. They had built a house, and before I knew it, more than 30 years had passed. Having been able to touch the core of art not only in France but across Europe, I returned to Japan in 2020 with the feeling of gaining a great reward. I had long decided that if I were to return to Japan, I would paint Mount Fuji, so I settled at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Yamanashi. I am always a field-oriented person and never use photography. He continues to create by placing the easel in nature. This is both my way of life and my creed.
