Tetsumasa Kusada Web Solo Exhibition decadenspective Ⅱ

I held a solo exhibition exactly one year ago in May.
The title at that time was "decadenspective I."
This time, it's the beginning of Chapter Two of "decadenspective II."

"decadenspective" = decadenspective = what is
Take another moment to reflect on decadence,
It's a coined word meaning to take a new step.

Decadence refers to the decadent culture of the late 19th century,
A year ago, I wrote that I felt that the world we see now is the very one that is decadent.
A year has passed, and since then, the world has been shrouded in even darker air.
The unreasonable war continues to spread, with no sign of ending.
Various disparities are widening, and people seem to be being swept up in the internet like a neurosis.
In a sudden moment, I wondered if the world might end like this.
You feel overwhelmed by uneasy thoughts.

Even so, I still want to believe that there is a positive light within people.

As an ordinary artist born into such a world,
A fragment of human deeds that can be sensed in this world is elevated within an image,
I continue to paint the beauty I can't give up in a world that seems about to end.
