大学入学前（1984年頃）から独学で日本画を制作、人物画を中心に描いていました。その後、制作を中断している時期もありましたが、2018年に開催した『私の中にあるもの』と仏画 作品展より作風を変え、自分の目の前にある画面と対話をしながら、その時々に感じる思いを大切に作品を制作しています。日本画を描き始めてから、約40年ぐらいになりますが、まだまだ進化していきたいと思っています。
