Born in Niigata Prefecture
I started calligraphy at the age of 5 and there was a time when I stopped holding a brush for a while.
I have resumed my activities a few years ago and have been doing creative activities little by little while working as a member of society
When I was little, I was able to see the work I wrote and say, "I'm moved."
It is the starting point of my current creative activities
The beauty, strength, and fragility woven by the word "calligraphy",
I want to express it in a similar way to paintings and other works of art
My goal is to create art that can move the hearts of as many people as possible

Ryo Online Solo Exhibition 墨彩と芸術の交響 Symphony of Ink and the Arts
The moment the ink touches the paper, a quiet rhythm is created
In the movement and bleeding of the brush, and in the breath of the margins,
The composition of the paintings, the rhythm of the music, and the physicality of the performing arts
It suddenly feels like they overlap
By depicting light, color, and the vibration of the mind in a single line,
Calligraphy is not just a "letter",
We are exploring moments that can be sublimated as a "single expression"
In this exhibition, I have been influenced by Western paintings, classical music, Kabuki, etc.
I took on the challenge of bringing the artistic essence of various genres into the movement of calligraphy
The pure beauty and excitement of each art,
I want to express myself through the breathing of ink and brush
When tradition and modernity, East and West intertwine,
The momentary harmony that arises there is
As a dialogue of senses that transcends words,
It will be a quiet "symphony" that will spread in the hearts of the viewer
I hope that through this exhibition, you will rediscover the potential and beauty of the art of calligraphy
