1960He was born in Nagoya City and currently lives in Tokyo. The theme of the creation is "Drawing the faces of cars of all eras around the world through car caricatures".Based on the caricature similarity, I would like to create a work that combines authenticity that can reach car lovers and cuteness and humor that can be conveyed to people who don't know cars.
Major exhibitions in recent years include:

I have had the opportunity to present my work both domestically and internationally. In particular, exhibitions in places where many people come and go, such as airports and train stations, are a valuable opportunity for people from various backgrounds to see the works.

It is not an exhibition, but I have a childhood memory that became my starting point. When I was in kindergarten, I would sit on the edge of the flower bed in the park in the evening and watch the cars coming and going at the intersection. So my father, who is now deceased, carefully told me the model of each car passing by. As a result, from a young age, I fell in love with looking at the shape of cars and drawing pictures of cars. I feel that the twilight time I spent with my father was the beginning of all my current creative activities. My gaze as I continue to stare at the face of the car was nurtured by my time with my father at that time.
At first, while working for a company, I drew human portraits as a side job. However, I gradually began to feel the limitations of the form of expression of human caricatures. At that time, I suddenly felt a new possibility in the carportrait of a car that I tried to draw and wanted to pursue it.
When I created a LINE sticker with the face of a car and posted it on Instagram with a background to promote it, I unexpectedly received a lot of reactions from overseas. I felt that I could be sympathized with across borders, and I realized that the style of posting my work on Instagram suited me. Since then, he has continued to create and publish various works on this theme.
Strangely, my interest in car faces never ran out, and the more I drew, the more I discovered new things, and I dug deeper and deeper.
For more than 100 years, the face of automobiles that have been born around the world is more than just a frontal view of a machine. Running in the city, lining up, crouching and lying down, it is a familiar face that there is not a day when we don't see each other every day. They are born by absorbing a lot of the national character and the atmosphere of the times in which they were made. We continue to engrave the improvement of technology and changes in social preferences with the times as large and small changes in model changes.
Just as humans cannot distinguish the difference between animal faces, but human faces have the sensitivity to tell the difference between twins, the face of a car may also touch human sensitivity. When we come across it in the city, we instantly feel the discomfort of a face that we don't usually see, or a sense of familiarity with a familiar face we haven't seen in a long time.
In the work, attention is paid to details such as the size and spacing of the eyes, the balance of the part placement, and the jawline so that the sensitivity to recognize the car as a face can be appealed. While "similarity" is the first thing as a caricature, I am conscious of not becoming a world just for car lovers. I always try to satisfy the three things of cuteness and humor at the same time so that people who are not interested in cars can see it as cute, beautiful, and interesting. I want it to be a work that reaches the hearts of people who don't know cars.
The title of the work is "JAPANESE CARS 1970s Part6-v2". I was an elementary school student1970I created it because I wanted to express the winter night of the era. I depicted the coldness and tranquility of the snow in blue, and the warm lights of the houses in yellow. The motif is inspired by the gassho-zukuri of Shirakawa-go, and the Japanese cars from the 70s placed there surprisingly blended into the landscape.
What makes this work special is that my father's presence overlaps with the work. It includes the car that my father drove with his family to skiing every year. The cars I saw with my father when I was a child are all condensed in this one piece.
The works I created in the early days have also been revised and corrected many times, and I continue to increase the face of the new car. Today, the number of car faces he has drawn has exceeded 3,400*. All of these are numbered, converted into a database, and a dedicated browser is created and managed. (*As of February 2026)
Still, there are still many omissions in the theme of "cars of all eras in the world". And even at this moment, new car faces continue to emerge somewhere in the world. It seems like a trip without a goal, but I think that's a good thing. Because there is no end, you can continue to explore. I plan to continue making it. We will enjoy meeting each face and walk this endless journey.
The search for the face of the car began with memories with my father. He now paints more than 3,400 different car faces. Still, in the endless theme of "cars of all eras in the world", there are countless "faces" that have not yet been seen. His works, which continue their endless journey while enjoying encounters with each one, will continue to reach the hearts of many people beyond borders. Whether you are a car lover or a car lover, the world of "car faces" combines authenticity, cuteness, and humor. That challenge will continue in the future.
