When I was 15 years old, I left Osaka, where I was born and raised, and set foot on Wajima.
There, he aspired to become a makie master in Wajima and spent his days of rigorous training.
It was sometimes as harsh as diving into the sea to get the day's sustenance.
After that experience, he became independent at the age of 20. I started my path as a maki-e artist.
The turning point came when he was 35 years old. To the painter I have had since I was a child

It has become the cornerstone of my painting production, and it is also an expression that I am proud of as one-of-a-kind.
