Using pastels, I depict a casual scene from everyday life, such as a city dusk or a scene on the way home.
When we are busy every day, it is easy to forget the time when we suddenly stop and look up at the sky, but I created a picture that would give me a little relief at such times.
In my works, people often appear in silhouettes, but rather than depicting the main character, I place them as beings to feel the atmosphere of the place.
This is because I wanted to cherish such a blank space where you can freely superimpose your memories and emotions, rather than the story of a specific person.
We were particular about the bleeding of light and the softness of the shadows, and layered colors to make you feel quiet and comfortable rather than making a strong statement.
