The experience of studying music and facing the piano still connects to my sense of painting.
1976From the year1979Over the years, traveling across Europe with Renault Quâtre, I was moved by the scenery, people's lives, and beautiful towns I encountered, which became the catalyst for me to start teaching myself to paint.
What I value most is applying ink to diagonally cut bamboo and freely running lines freely on white paper.
I don't overdo calculations; I draw according to my feelings and rhythm at the moment, then layer colors on those lines afterward.
The title "La Dance" this time captures the feeling of lines and colors dancing to music, along with the feeling of enjoying the very act of painting. We hope you will enjoy the many works born with the feeling of playing music.
