Can you tell us about your creative career so far?

Since I was a student, I liked cute illustrations and illustrations in gentle colors, and I sometimes drew illustrations. However, it was only when he began to present his work30It's from about the age.At that timeisNowTheLikeToThere are many places to present your own illustrations.KuMediumUghIt wasBecause,When I first started creating, I scanned the illustrations I drew and printed them out with a printer, and I had a small number of printers make them, mainly on postcard racks at stores in Tokyo, and delivered them on consignment.

After that, I began to learn about picture book making, which I had been interested in for a long time. I was aiming to work as a picture book writer, but I felt that I needed time to face my work, so I stopped drawing for a while. However, after posting illustrations on Instagram in 2023, he began to present his works to the world again.

Please tell us how you resumed your painting activities, which you had been away from for a while.

During the period when I was away from painting, I took care of my mother, who needed nursing care. My mother couldn't do anything on her own, and she continued to spend her days in a nursing bed. As I spent time next to my mother, I deeply realized how precious and precious it is to be alive and able to do something of my own will, and at the same time, I also felt that I had not yet finished painting. Life is limited, and you have to cherish what you can do now. This strong feeling was a major driving force for me to resume production.

How do you switch your mind when you're stuck in production?

When I feel stuck, I often go out for a walk, take a leisurely look at the scenery, or have a cup of tea. Walking and looking at the scenery of the city makes my heart feel lighter. Visiting an exhibition that interests you is also an important way to refresh yourself. By coming into contact with the works of other artists, you can encounter new perspectives and ways of expression, and the desire to draw again will naturally return. As you do so, you will feel like a small light is shining in your heart, and you can move on to creation again.

What kind of thoughts do you put into your work?

The concept of the production is "healing". The main characters of the work are cute beings such as girls, princesses, and fairies. They are surrounded by adorable deformed animals, small objects in everyday life, and colorful flowers. A world full of fantasy and cuteness, as if the boundaries between the real world and fantasy are blended together. That's where my work belongs.

What I always want to draw is magical. For example, if you cast a spell on a sugar made of sad tears, it will turn into sweet and gentle sugar. That's the image. Even if there is pain or sadness, a little kindness and hope can warm your heart. I want to deliver such magical moments through my work.

Please tell us if there is a work that you think is the most "like me!"

Looking back on the works I have drawn so far, most of them were works that I thought were my own. It was very difficult to choose because they all expressed my worldview, but the most important thing was the work I posted on Instagram called "Sewing Box Cafe Bus Stop Front Store". This work is drawn with my favorite line drawings and worldview, and expresses my personality that fuses the small happiness in everyday life with the fantasy world. The familiar existence of a sewing box becomes a healing space called a café. Such an idea itself is the very theme of casting magic on everyday life, which is the core of my creation.

Can you tell us your thoughts on future work?

While continuing to sell works, we plan to focus on making picture books and coloring book line drawings. All of them may proceed with little presentations, but I would like to carefully create each one without rushing. I want to feel excited and happy through my own work, and that everyone who picks up the work will feel the same way. That's what makes life worth living, and that's why I keep creating. Through my works, I will continue to draw gentle, warm, and magical works so that I can light a small light in the hearts of as many people as possible.

It is a work that casts magic on everyday life, delivering healing and warmth to the hearts of viewers. With the preciousness of life that he realized through nursing care, he continues to create while looking forward to new challenges such as picture book production and coloring books. The works that are carefully spun one by one will continue to light up a small light in the hearts of many people. Expectations are high for his future success.
